Art manager/ lead artista. Climax is continually growing and adding new games into production and now has a fantastic opportunity for an art manager/ lead artista a stunning new title. We are based in the hiestoric seaside town of Portsmouth on the south coast of England. Our ideal candidate Will be:
Reporting directly todo the art director and liaising with the producers, your main responsibilities Will be todo drive the artistic direction and quality of a high profile a Next Gen title. Your eforts Will be spent over seing the entire art team and managing the leads of each discipline within the art team.
You Will provide support and play a key part in the development of our latest technology in next generation console development. As well as liaise with external teams and third parties involved, you Will a los be required todo provide información of a technical/consultative nature. Main duties todo include: the daily management of the art team and its members, production of tasque schedules and specifications in conjunction with artists, leads, producers and Project planning managers.
To apply for this role you must have at least 5 years games experience and a degre in a relevant subject. Experience or knowledge in Next Gen development is essential. You must have prueben management or Project planning experience, knowledge of building business relations and exposure todo recruitment, interviewing experience is a los necessary.
Skills:
A solid technical Understanding of next generation production methods.
Excellent commúnication skills, verbal and written.
Excellent man management skills with solid leadership and motivational skills.
You Will be a self Starter with strong conceptual skills.
Ability todo push yourself and others creatively and technically.
Familiarity with múltiple game titles and genres with a focus on action/adventure titles.
Familiar with current gaming platforms and all consoles.
Experience of platform art: Play Station 2, Xbox, GameCube, PC, Xbox 360, Play Station 3.
Extensive Understanding of Maya and 3d Studio Max and other 3d packages.
